Kelsius Webinar:
Introducing Push Notification Alerts via the Kelsius App
×
Kelsius has launched the Kelsius app for push notification alerts.
Push notifications will alert users in real time to temperature excursions that can risk damaging or losing valuable stock and products. Push notifications are delivered in a secure environment and unlike SMS or voice call alerts, are not treated as spam by the service provider.
Our webinar invites viewers to learn more about how easy it is to enable push notification alerts via the Kelsius app.
This webinar took place on 9 October, 2024.
Webinar Q&A
- Q. Do staff members need an individual login to use the app?
- A. Yes, Kelsius recommends that all users have their own login. This allows us to provide better traceability of when alerts are delivered and acknowledged.
- Q. What does the app cost to use?
- A. The app is free for customers to download and use.
- Q. Will more functionalities be built into the app, for example viewing site map and changing temperature modes?
- A. We are working on building more functionality into the app and will look at this as a future feature.
- Q. Can you customise alert traffic on the app? That is, receive alerts only from key locations, or mute or deactivate comm fail alerts?
- A. This functionality is available via the web portal but may be part of app development in the future.
- Q. How can you set an alarm or time notification?
- A. This can be done by adjusting sensors in the portal. You can change these from 24-hour alerts or set a specific timing, which will feed into the push notification alerts on the app.
- Q. Is it planned to include signing off on tasks in future on the app to sign off the HACCP records, hot holding or cleaning tasks?
- A. This will lie within FoodCheck 2.0 functionality rather than within the app, which we will be looking at as we develop FoodCheck 2.0 future functionality.
- Q. Are there different access levels for logins for different users?
- A. Yes. A user must have a PIN to enter a corrective action; this is the same PIN as used on the network controller. Users receiving alerts only need access to the app. Users who additionally need to enter corrective actions will require a PIN code.
- Q. Will Kelsius host more webinars in the future?
- A. Yes, we plan to host regular webinars for customers on features and functions, but we welcome feedback from customers on topics to cover.
